Bagmati River Basin Improvement Project(BRBIP) under the High Powered Committee for Integrated Development of Bagmati Civilization (HPCIDBC) has contracted ECARDS Nepal, a local Nepalese development NGO for providing the consulting services on “Rain Water Harvesting and Ground Water Recharging” (NGO-Package 2)
Capacity Development of Watershed communities in far-western development region
The Building Climate Resilience of Watersheds in Mountain Eco-Regions (BCRWME) Project was one of the five components in Nepal’s Strategic Program for Climate Resilience (SPCR). It aimed to provide improved access to more reliable water resources for domestic purposes and irrigation particularly in the dry season for vulnerable communities to climate change in six districts within the Budhiganga and Lower West Seti watersheds of the then Far Western Region, now in the Sudurpaschim province.
Earthquake Recovery Project-WASH sector
Caritas Nepal had supported the local people of Laduk, Bulung and Orang for hygiene kit and shelter support in different the then VDCs of dolakha where ECARDS Nepal had facilitate the support process during emergency period in 2015.
Multi Stakeholder Forestry Programme
ECARDS-Nepal with joint venture of FECOFUN Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap and Khotang district chapters had implemented MSFP in its Lot II districts. The objective of this programme is to improve livelihoods and resilience of the poor and disadvantaged people.
Ecards-Nepal was founded in 1991 to act as a non-profit, non-governmental, non-sectarian social development organization. It was set up to foster sustainable community development through people’s organization and leadership.
